Folkestone Arts & Literature festival
iDivision was approached by Folkestone’s Creative Foundation to produce a suite of striking graphics that could be used to promote the town’s forthcoming arts and literature events.
Literature festival inspiration
Being a famous coastal town inspiration was sought from ‘The Great Wave’ a woodblock print by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusait. The waves were illustrated to represent pages of a book and featured the town’s lighthouse and the ‘Folkestone Mermaid’ sculpture by Cornelia Parker.
